The two discounts worth knowing
Swiss Travel Pass / Half Fare Card: 50% off the Swiss leg (the sectors between Zermatt and Testa Grigia). On a peak return that’s the difference between eye-watering and reasonable - and if you’re touring by rail, the pass itself may already be in your pocket. The dollar-priced official ticket below (about $258 via the operator’s GetYourGuide listing) bundles the return ride with the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise platform and glacier palace, free-cancellable to 24 hours - for many travelers the simpler buy than assembling CHF fares.
Price the sky, not just the seat
